Maynooth is a bustling and incredibly safe town, only 24km from Dublin. It’s easily accessible by public transport, taking just over 30 minutes to reach the city centre.
The town has a fascinating history, including a 16th-century castle at the south entrance of the University Campus and Carton House, the historic home of the Duke of Leinster. Maynooth is home to friendly and welcoming locals who are always curious about international visitors, making it an ideal spot for students to experience true Irish hospitality in the town’s many shops and pubs.
Our school, St Patrick’s College, lies within Maynooth University’s campus. Known for its ghost stories that attract visitors from around the world, the campus combines history with modern facilities.
Students will stay in single rooms with private bathrooms located on campus.
Meals are provided on a full-board basis in the college dining hall, and packed lunches will be provided for full-day excursions included in the program.
To learn English, students have 18 hours of lessons per week, including 15 hours of General Course and 3 hours of Workshops (STEAM and/or 21st Century Skills), which feature interactive sessions on topics such as science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, depending on the students’ age.
News 2026: The school is launching the development of an exciting new English curriculum for next summer!
A new 21st-century English curriculum that uses AI-based teaching tools to give teachers the ability to respond dynamically to the linguistic needs of their students.
All teachers are certified to teach English to foreign students and organize classes according to the results of an initial test taken by all students to determine their language level.
Study materials are provided by the school, as well as a certificate of attendance, which is issued at the end of the course.
3 half-day city outings with a private bus and school staff (entrance fees included).
1 half-day walking tour in the city with school staff (entrance fees not included).
4 half-day on-campus activities, such as STEAM, The ABC’s of Vlogging, sports, and Drama Workshop.
Excursions may undergo slight changes before departure.
The final program will be provided to group leaders upon arrival.
