Oxford: the world’s most famous university city – the perfect destination for your next Study Holiday!
Oxford is a historic university city in southern England, world-renowned for the prestigious University of Oxford, founded in the 11th century and made up today of 44 colleges.
It’s a young and lively city, built around its student life and buzzing with energy all year round. Every summer, thousands of students arrive to experience the timeless atmosphere of its iconic colleges.
Our school, Harcourt Hill Campus, is part of Oxford Brookes University, located about 3 miles from the city centre. It offers excellent academic facilities, as well as social and recreational areas where students can relax between lessons. The campus also includes first-class sports facilities.
Study Holiday in England: Oxford
Accommodation is arranged in mini-apartments made up of 5–6 single rooms, each with a private bathroom.
Meals are provided on a full-board basis in the university canteen, with packed lunches included during full-day excursions.
Study Holiday in Oxford: English Course
Students attend 15 hours of General English lessons per week.
It is also possible to register for the Trinity GESE Exam (held online).
All teachers are qualified in teaching English to international students. Classes are formed based on an initial placement test to ensure each student joins the right level.
All study materials are provided by the school, along with a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
Study Holiday in Oxford: Excursions and Activities
3 full-day excursions:
Two trips to London – one includes the Politics and Royalty Walking Tour and a visit to the National Gallery, while the other includes the British Museum, shopping on Oxford Street and Regent Street, and an evening in the city.
The third full-day trip is either to Warwick Castle or Stratford-Upon-Avon to visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace.
5 half-day trips:
Explore Oxford through a Photo Challenge, visit the Christ Church College, go punting on the river, or simply enjoy time with your new friends and Group Leaders discovering the city.
Please note that excursions may be subject to minor changes before departure. The final programme will be shared with Group Leaders upon arrival.
Every evening, the Activity Leaders organise fun social events such as Disco Night, Quiz Night, Karaoke, and many more!
