Toronto, the capital city of Ontario, has a distinctly European vibe and is a very liveable city. Known worldwide for its skyline reflecting the waters of the great Lake Ontario, and its famously harsh winters. The city comes alive underground in the Path, a 30-kilometre-long pedestrian network linking subway stations to restaurants, museums, wellness centres, ice rinks, sculptures, fountains, and gardens.

Our school, Toronto Metropolitan University, is located in the Garden District near Yonge-Dundas Square. The square is filled with shopping centres, restaurants, and bright billboards, attracting tourists and talented street artists alike.

The accommodation consists of small apartments with 4 single rooms and 2 bathrooms, located in residences within the campus.

Full board is provided at the campus cafeteria, with packed lunches during the full-day trips included in the program.

ENGLISH COURSE

Study Course in Toronto: Overview

To learn English, 15 hours of lessons per week are provided in the General Course, always in the morning.

All teachers, with years of experience, are certified to teach English to foreign students and organize the classes for this study program based on the results of an initial test, which is used to determine each student’s language level and place them in the most suitable class.

Study materials are provided by the school, as is the certificate of attendance, which is issued at the end of the language course.

Trips & Activities

2 full-day trips, including one to the Toronto Islands, a group of small islands located in Lake Ontario in front of the city of Toronto, and one to Niagara Falls, one of the most famous natural wonders in the world.
10 half-day city trips, including shopping at Eaton Center, a walking tour downtown, visiting the CN Tower (entrance included) with a sunset walk, a Legislative Assembly of Ontario Tour (entrance included) followed by a drive-in cinema in the park in the evening, participating in the Oxford Olympics on the beach, visiting High Park, Casa Loma (entrance included), Graffiti Alley, Chinatown & Kensington Market with an evening visit to the Art Gallery of Ontario, and shopping at Vaughan Mills Outlet Mall, returning to the campus late in the evening.

Trips may be subject to slight changes before departure. The final program will be provided to group leaders upon arrival.

Activities

All evenings on campus will be organized with fun and engaging recreational and sports activities, such as Karaoke, Movie Night, Sports, and Disco Night!
