Winchester: a city full of history and legend, perfect for your next Study Holiday!
Winchester is a historic city in southern England, located in the county of Hampshire. Once the capital of the Kingdom of Wessex and later Anglo-Saxon England, it’s famous for its magnificent Gothic cathedral — one of the largest in Europe.
The city is rich in heritage and medieval charm, still preserving Roman remains, timber-framed houses, and cobbled streets. You can also visit the Great Hall, home to the legendary Round Table of King Arthur.
Today, Winchester is lively yet peaceful, offering a perfect mix of culture, nature, and stunning architecture.
Our school, Sparsholt College, is surrounded by Hampshire’s countryside and located just 110 km from London.

You’ll enjoy full-board treatment on campus. During full-day trips included in the programme, packed lunches will be provided.
To help you learn English effectively, the programme includes 15 hours of General Course lessons per week.
You can also choose to register for the Trinity GESE Exam, which will be held online.
All teachers are qualified to teach English to international students. Classes are formed according to the results of an initial placement test, which ensures that each student is placed at the right level.
Study materials are provided by the school, and every student receives a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
Excursions
3 full-day trips, including two to London and one to Oxford.
In London, you’ll enjoy the Politics and Royalty Walking Tour, visit the National Gallery, go shopping in Covent Garden, and spend the evening in the city.
A second London trip lets you explore Hyde Park and Oxford Street, with free time and an evening in the capital.
In Oxford, you’ll take a Walking Tour and visit one of the city’s famous colleges.
2 half-day trips to discover the charming town of Winchester.
Minor variations to the itinerary may occur before departure.
The final programme will be provided to group leaders upon arrival.
