Greenwich: a modern London district south of the Thames – the perfect destination for your next Study Holiday!
London is the capital of the United Kingdom and one of the most cosmopolitan and exciting cities in the world. Steeped in history, culture, and art, it offers iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge, and Buckingham Palace. It is also a global hub for finance, education, and creativity, with world-famous museums, West End theatres, and lively neighbourhoods like Camden, Notting Hill, and Soho.
Greenwich is a fascinating historic area in south-east London, famous for its maritime and scientific heritage. Its town centre is filled with stylish cafés, shops, and department stores, as well as the National Maritime Museum, the newly restored Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and a beautiful park perfect for relaxing outdoors.
Our school, the University of Greenwich – Maritime Campus, is located in the borough of the same name, south of the River Thames. Founded in 1890, it received its first CGLI certificate in 1892. In 1992, the institute was granted university status and became the University of Greenwich.
