Cardiff, the capital of Wales and L’astrolabio’s destination for this English program, is one of the UK’s oldest port cities.
Once known for its coal mining industry, Cardiff is now an exciting city packed with Victorian parks, stunning Gothic castles, historic churches, theaters, cozy pubs, and modern shopping centres. It’s famous for the Millennium Stadium and the lively Cardiff Bay area, where bars, restaurants, cinemas, and street performers create a relaxed, holiday vibe.
The Cyncoed Campus of the University of Wales, located just outside Cardiff, is modern and well-equipped, with easy access to the city via frequent local bus services.

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION
Study holiday in England: Cardiff
Students are housed in single rooms with private bathrooms, located in modern campus buildings. Each building also features a small, shared kitchen.
Meals will be provided on a full-board basis, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served in the campus dining hall. Packed lunches are also available for full-day excursions included in the program.
ENGLISH COURSE
Learn English in Cardiff
This program includes 15 hours of General English lessons per week, scheduled in either the morning or afternoon.
Students can also opt to take the Trinity GESE Exam online as part of the program.
All classes are taught by certified, highly qualified English language teachers who specialise in working with international students. Each student takes a placement test upon arrival, so that we can make sure they are grouped into the right class for their language level.
At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance along with all learning materials used during the course.

Excursions
3 Full-Day Trips:
- Swansea: Explore the National Maritime Museum and the Dylan Thomas Centre.
- Cardiff: Visit the National Museum of Wales.
- Castle Region: Tour a historic castle, such as Caerphilly, Raglan, or St. Fagans.
1 Half-Day Trip: Take a guided tour of Big Pit, a fascinating historic coal mine.
